Newmans - Azores fireplace in natural Sepol limestone

The natural textures and colour variation of limestone enhance the stately beauty of the Azores fireplace. The Azores is available in warm-toned Portuguese Sepol Limestone and was recently awarded the accolade of "Fireplace of the Year" at the National Fireplace Awards 2009.

This beautiful statement piece is J Rotherham's 'Carpathia' 1490mm in Portland Limestone (this fireplace is also available in different materials) – a stunning fireplace of great dimension, almost 'double effect'.

Portland stone is a limestone from the Tithonian stage of the Jurassic period, quarried on the Isle of Portland, Dorset. It has been used in public buildings such as St Pauls Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. Other materials available are Ancaster, Guiting and Bathstone - all British stones worked by skilled British artisans.
